Calving!

We are now at calf number 300 for 2018 and so far we are very pleased with how the cows have performed.

We have 10 heifers left to calve out of 100 and although we have had a couple of hiccups to deal with we are very pleased with how the calves growing! Some of the stand out calves are by Deer Valley Patriot, Wattletop Franklin G188 and LD Capitalist. 

The cows are also now well under way and we have been excited to see the new AI progeny. This year we have continued to use Granite Ridge Kaiser who's short gestation period is becoming very apparent! Alongside the Kaiser calves are some by Karoo Knockout K176, JMB Traction, Quaker Hill Dead Center and Ardrossan Honour. We have also been very pleased with the calves by Koojan Hills Gatsby L43, our Angus Australia Sire Benchmarking Cohort 8 sire.

We have a further 150 calves to drop and wouldn't mind a little bit (a lot) of rain to drop aswell!!
