2019 Koojan Hills Angus Bull Sale
The 2019 Koojan Hills Angus bull sale will be held on Monday 18th February with the sale beginning 1pm WST.
This year the Metcalfe family will be offering 79 Koojan Hills Angus bulls at their on-property sale complex. They have made a small increase in the number of bulls offered in 2019 to assist potential buyers fulfil their bull requirements within a more comfortable price range.
This years bulls are showing the benefit of the excellent finish to the 2018 pasture year and have required no supplementary feeding during their sale preparation all the way through to Christmas.
Koojan Hills are particularly proud of the fact the bulls will have had no grain or pellet supplements and so will be entirely grass-fed. The Metcalfe’s believe this more natural preparation directly correlates to greater semen quality as well as improved overall bull longevity.

There are no credits operating at Koojan Hills bull sales.
The Metcalfe family are particularly pleased with the shape and style of this years Koojan Hills bulls, with a slight emphasis on adding to the ‘butt’ profile of their bulls while maintaining structure, temperament and functionality.
58 of this year bulls have an above breed average Angus Breeding Index and 35 bulls have below average birthweight. There is a good selection of bulls suitable for heifers with the bulls then ranging up to some impact, herd improving bulls.
The principal AI sires represented in this years sale line-up are Wattletop Frankin G188, Deer Valley Patriot 3222 and Granite Ridge Kaiser K26. There is also an impressive line up of bulls by back-up sires Koojan Hills Docklands K76 and Coonamble K299.
Granite Ridge Kaiser K26 sons make up the biggest AI sire line of bulls at this years sale with 10 on offer. The Kaiser bulls are a very good draft of powerful, thick bulls with the standout being Lot 24, WKHN122.
The Koojan Hills Angus bull sale will be held in conjunction with the Melaleuca Murray Grey bull sale.
An on-property field day will be held on Friday 8th February 2019. Bulls will be penned for viewing from 1-5pm.
